This didn't work out as well as I had hoped. The mini-USB jack doesn't fit snugly into the cell phone. Also, during use, a lot of background humming/static is heard by the recipient of the call (but not by the caller).
That was 3 years ago. I had to buy an overprice 3/32 to 1/8 converter to plug in headphones.
I bought this converter so I could listen to music. I thought.awesome $1.
When I worked at Radioshack, I bought a Razr phone. It is 3/32.
I can't beat it. I get it and realize that the jack is not 1/8 inch.
That piece cost me $10.99. Imagine the price now.
Completely freezes phone when plugged into KRZR and earphones. Can hear audio beep through headphones when it is first plugged in, but cannot get buttons to respond, so cannot access mp3 folder on phone. Useless.
This is a simple device and it does what it is supposed to do. The only thing I found a bit odd is that when plugged into the phone the wire point up along the side of the phone rather than down. I can think of various reasons why this might be desirable, but I found that it was also a bit in the way of things like the volume controls and simply holding the phone.
For the price, I thought I'd just buy three and never have to worry about bringing one in from the car. I have one on my kitchen radio, my car stereo, and one in my travel pack since so many hotels now have alarm clocks that you can plug your music player into.
